'Little Chick Tsunami' is the third long-playing foray for the one-woman show/project that is astroPuppees. Not a band, they are the brainchild of Kelley Ryan, who constructs the 'puppees idiosyncratic, twenty-first century Pop songs from an unusual selection of 'found' elements in her home studio. Kelley marries the kind of hook-laden pop that has references to the golden eras of the music's past, but has the lyrical perspective of a human being trying to make sense of the madness of contemporary living.

In the past, astroPuppees have been compared to a collision between Solex / Liz Phair / Sheryl Crow; Russell Hall of Allstar Online Magazine described Kelley as "…a one-woman, multi-tracking wiz-kid who constructs infectious pop melodies from the rawest of materials." On 'Little Chick Tsunami', Kelley has co-written two songs with Jesse Valenzuela, formerly of the Gin Blossoms, and Jody and Kym Westover - daughters of the late, great Del Shannon, feature on another cut. The compulsive pop melodies on 'Little Chick Tsunami' have already found a receptive audience - the track 'Long As U Love' has been featured in the 'Roswell' TV series and a movie entitled 'Jane White Is Sick and Twisted'.

AstroPuppees AKA Kelley Ryan navigate the pop outersphere with the looks and skill of Judy Jetson and the street suss of Lara Croft. It's a bumpy ride, but the in-flight music is a juke box fizzing with insanely addictive pop thrills. Get on the sonic space shuttle now.
